AgDevCo announces partners with Mozambican livestock company and Senegalese rice miller

AgDevCo’s Smallholder Development Unit has confirmed partnerships with a Mozambican livestock company MozAgri and Senegalese rice miller Société Sénégalaise des Filières Alimentaires (SFA) which will result in an increase in productivity and income for about 9,500 farmers. MozAgri is a livestock processing operation that supplies improved genetics and buys fully-grown goats from 6,000 local farmers across a wide area. SFA buys paddy rice from 3,500 smallholder farmers along the Senegal River valley. AgDevCo will support the expansion of SFA’s scheme to boost rice yields and quality thereby increasing farmer incomes by US$200 – US$300 a year.
