Medu Capital spends R74.25 million for 15% of Hero Telecoms

Medu Capital, the South African private equity firm, has acquired a 15% stake in Hero Telecoms for R74.25 million, (approximately $5.75 million at current rates). This effectively increases the BEE shareholding in Hero Telecoms to 20%. The company is growing rapidly in the Wireless Internet Service Provider market given that it only began operations in 2014.
