Invest Africa is delighted to announce that The Africa Debate will return at the Guildhall on the 11^th of May. The Africa Debate is London’s leading investment summit focused on Africa. Now it its 9th year, it will focus on the continent’s trade profile via a comprehensive programme of talks, discussions and networking opportunities. Bringing together the great and the good from across the African investment and business communities, the event will once again host global businesses, private public investment bodies, thought leaders, and policy makers for a timely series of conversations on the future of African trade, providing delegates with a unique and essential platform for learning and networking.

Africa’s trade outlook is at a crossroads. On one hand, supply chain disruptions stemming from the pandemic, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and US-China competition paint a gloomy picture to say the least… with the continent’s resource-intensive economies highly exposed in terms of debt risks and commodities shocks. However, the continent also finds itself perhaps more resilient to trade and these shocks than ever before, with African countries aligning trade and investment policies behind the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

The Africa Debate 2023 will bring together leaders from across the continent to discuss the future of African trade and how the private sector can best support and prepare for a more integrated – and more competitive – African trade environment.
