The South African based private equity firm, Agile Capital, is looking for equity investments in the market and has R900-million (US$47-million) available of its total fund size of over R2-billion (over US$100-million) to invest in high-growth medium sized companies in South Africa. Agile Capital enjoys a diverse investment portfolio across multiple sectors as a private equity player in the South African local market.
The private equity firm was formed in 2016 following the management buy-out of Zico Capital and now has funds under management of R2-billion, currently overseen by managing partners Tshego Sefolo and Londeka Shezi. The funds raised were mainly from First Rand Group (Limited Partner). The private equity firm has investments in SA Biomedical, G4S, Henkel, Provantage and the Innovation Group amongst its portfolio of 15 companies.
