GuarantCo and InfraCo Africa have opened an office in Nairobi (Kenya) as a base for East and Southern Africa. Both companies are part of the London-based multilateral Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG). GuarantCo was established by the PIDG in 2006 to encourage infrastructure development in low income countries and has provided guarantees to a total value in the region of US$700 million.
