MFS Africa has partnered with Afrimoney to support its entry into Sierra Leone. The partnership will enable mobile money users in the country to receive payments from abroad smoothly through the MFS Africa hub. MFS Africa is a fintech company that provides a gateway to send money to mobile wallets in Africa and covers over 200 million mobile money recipients across all major networks. MFS Africa connects mobile money systems to each other and to money transfer organizations, banks and other financial institutions, enabling money remittances to and from mobile money accounts. Through partnerships with major mobile network operators like Airtel, Econet, MTN, Orange, Tigo, and Vodafone, MFS Africa has become the largest mobile money gateway in Sub-Saharan Africa through its API platform.
Afrimoney is a reliable and secure mobile money service in Sierra Leone and is a subsidiary of Africell Sierra Leone, a telecommunications company with a customer base of about 5 million active subscribers and more than 70% market share in Sierra Leone.
