Orda Africa, a Nigerian based restaurant software management startup, has raised US$1.1-million in equity funding from investors led by LoftyInc Capital Management. The startup is already a partner in companies such Pizza Hut, Barcelos, Johnny Rockets, Smoothie Express, Ofada Boy and Nuli. Other participating investors were Microtraction, DFS Labs, Oxford Seed Fund, Enza Capital, Techstars Boulder, Magic Fund, Hustle Fund and Norrsken Foundation. The funding will be used to expand the platform in West Africa and improve operational capacity. The stake acquired was not disclosed.
LoftyInc Capital Management is an international early-stage technology fund that has provided funding to startups such as Andela, Flutterwave (now a unicorn), Appetito, Bata, Ceviant, Enlumi, Fitmatch, Flex, Instadiet, Kyshi, Odiggo, Omnibiz, Payday, Printivo, Sabi, ScholarX and Trella amongst many others. The fund was co-funded by Idris Ayodeji Bello (co-founder of The Wennovation Hub) and Michael Oluwagbemi (licensed professional engineer in the State of Texas, USA and Nigeria).
