PAPE Fund Managers has acquired a 48% of Laser Group. Laser Group is one of the largest independent logistics businesses in South Africa through its operating entities Laser Logistics (Pty) Ltd, DPD Laser Express Logistics (Pty) Ltd and GAC Laser International Logistics (Pty) Ltd. The group is a well-established, has a strong management team and international partners. Laser Group’s key executives will continue to own 52% of the business.

PAPE Fund Managers is an established, black-owned boutique private equity manager that invests in Southern Africa. Zuko Kubukeli, the CEO and Managing Partner of the PAPE Fund Managers team holds a BSc (Biochemistry and Microbiology), BSc Medicine (Hons) and a PhD (Physiology) from the University of Cape Town. He has been managing private equity teams since 2006 with over R2bn in funds under management.
