Peach Payments raises investor equity funding from UW Ventures

Peach Payments, a fintech startup based in Cape Town (South Africa), has raised equity funding from UW Ventures which will be deployed towards African expansion. Peach Payments enables simple, seamless and secure transactions for business and consumers in Africa on their websites and mobile apps. The company currently powers businesses in South Africa and Mauritius and will soon be launching services in Kenya, Nigeria and more countries in Africa. The company was established in 2012 by Andreas Demleitner and Rahul Jain and has been growing at an impressive growth rate of 500% per year.

UW Ventures is a multi-stage investor that provides growth and replacement capital across the equity-cycle. Its activities span from high-growth venture to mid-market private equity opportunities. The firm has invested in companies such as Lulalend, Signapps, Comparisure, Sage and DriveRisk among others. Its limited partners include Allan Gray and Investec.
