What we do: Workforce Holdings Ltd and its group of companies is a provider of employment, training, healthcare, wellness, financial services and lifestyle benefits to individuals and their employers. The company was established in 1972 and is listed on the JSE Altx. The group operates predominantly in South Africa, with an extensive national branch presence that extends to all the provinces in the country. Recent expansion has seen the establishment of a presence in Mozambique, Namibia, Botswana and Mauritius. The Workforce Group employs over 1,100 permanent staff and pays approximately 32,000 temporary contractors weekly.

Ownership & Management: The major shareholders in The Workforce Group are Force Holdings (Pty) Ltd (38.12%), Little Kittens (Pty) Ltd (27.02%), Vebicept (Pty) Ltd (17.6%) and Pha Phama Africa (Pty) Ltd (5.9%) with the remaining shareholders being directors and public shareholders. The company is managed by a strong management team and is well monitored by the market due to its JSE Altx listing.

Key financial indicators: Turnover for the 2016 financial year reflects an increase of 11% to R2.8bn (2016:R2.5bn). Organic growth represents the bulk of this growth. Effective 1 January 2017, KBC Holdings, a company involved in induction training was acquired by the group for R47m and on 1 February 2017, the business of Oxyon was acquired for R9m.
