Adenia Partners buys Kenyan retail company known as Tumaini

Adenia Partners has bought a retail company known as Tumaini Self Service, based in Kenya. The funding provided by Adenia Partners will be used by the retail company to expand its operations in the East African market which has a growing middleclass and its regional integration is expanding. Adenia Partners is a Mauritius based private equity firm with a total of over $400 million of capital to invest in sectors such as agribusiness, manufacturing, financial services, ICT, hospitality and healthcare. Adenia Partners has concluded more than 10 deals in 2018. The latest transaction was given the green light by the Competition Authority of Kenya but the deal amount was undisclosed.
