Chinese investors will build a Special Economic Zone in Ethiopia

The Amhara Regional State Administration and Chinese investors have decided to build a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the area around Tana River based in Ethiopia. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was already signed in August 2017 and the Chinese investors will use their own resources to build the SEZ which is 10ha of land expected to attract at least 20,000 tourists in the area.
