DHL has acquired a minority stake in Link Commerce, an e-commerce company that supports the online sales platforms such as MallforAfrica.com through its end-to-end mobile and desktop platform. Link Commerce has access to over 250 stores, 9,461 brands and 8.5-billion items. The company was established in 2011 by Chris Folayan who developed the MallforAfrica app and also the founder and former CEO of OCFX Inc (globally recognized software and web development agency). The e-commerce platform is also available to other interested retailers in Africa.
DHL is world’s leading logistics company established in 1969 and now has over 380,000 employees in over 220 countries. DHL delivers over 1.6-billion parcels every year and generated revenues of €63.3-billion in 2019. The group plans to invest more in global e-commerce, a sector that is growing rapidly in the 4th industrial revolution.
