Ethiopia has decided to improve its local food security challenges by introducing irrigation capability to the local subsistence farmers. This move will allow these farmers to expand their output so they are able to sell their produce on a commercial basis. Ethiopia has a growing agricultural and manufacturing sector that is a large contributor to GDP growth.
