EXEO Capital buys a 36.5% stake in Jumbo Brands

EXEO Capital has acquired a 36.5% stake in Jumbo Brands which is a manufacturer of fruit juice concentrates, squash, cordials, coffees, hot chocolate and lemon juice. Jumbo Brands was established in Durban in 1985 by the Kraaij family and has since expanded its operations to several regions in South Africa where it supplies to Pick n Pay, Shoprite, Checkers, SPAR, Makro and Choppies. EXEO Capital is an alternative investment partner in Africa that structures, raises, deploys and manages private equity funds in various sectors across Sub-Saharan Africa with a portfolio of companies such as TerraSan Group, Marginpar, Capital Fisheries and Fairfield Dairy. EXEO Capital is expected to assist Jumbo Brands with its further expansion through the acquisition of its competitors in the beverage manufacturing sector. The acquisition amount was undisclosed.
