Goodwell Investments, a Netherlands based investment fund, has launched a US$60-million Africa fund to invest in small and medium enterprises with great growth prospects. The fund is expected to reach financial close by the end of 2021 after a limited partner capital raise is concluded from family offices, foundations and private equity investors.

The firm has funds under management of over US$150-million and its portfolio companies have reached over 28-million households with over US$2.1-billion in financial products. Goodwell Investments has invested in Paga (Nigeria), Nomanini (South Africa), Musoni Systems (Africa), MFS Africa (Africa) and Lydia (Nigeria) among others.
