RH Bophelo buys 25% of Genric Insurance

RH Bophelo has agreed to buy a 25% stake in Genric Insurance from IM Investments for R51 million (US$3.5 million). Genric Insurance focuses on innovative and niche insurance solutions by partnering with specialist underwriting management agencies, start-ups, insuretech and brokers. The company partnered with companies such as Agility, Arco 360, Automotive VAP Solutions, Business Lawyers, Customer Loyalty Consultants, Empire Fleet, ExpatCare, Gladio, MyCyberCare and Salesure amongst many others in fulfilling its services to customers.

RH Bophelo is a healthcare investor that is listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange with funds in excess of R500 million. The company invests in hospitals where it can improve facilities and increase access to quality healthcare services to the lower-to-middle income bracket in South Africa. One of the first investments by RH Bophelo were in Africa Healthcare, Vryburg Private Hospital and Rondebosch Medical Centre.
