The IFC provides US$5.2-million loan to Nyaho Medical Centre

The IFC has provided a US$5.2-million loan to Nyaho Medical Centre, Ghana based health care provider that operates hospitals. The debt funding will be devoted to the establishment of primary care facilities in the cities of Tema, Takoradi, and Kumasi as well as upgrade the main hospital in Accra, Ghana. IFC will also advise Nyaho Medical Centre in improving the quality of facilities through IFC’s Healthcare Quality Assessment Tool, which helps hospitals and clinics achieve better patient safety, quality and care.

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is the finance provider of the World Bank with more than 60 years of experience in unlocking private investment and therefore delivering more than $285-billion in financing for businesses in developing countries.
