AgDevCo gets £55 million to invest in African agri-businesses

AgDevCo has received £55-million in additional investment from the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development. AgDevCo is an impact investor which invests in responsible and sustainable agribusinesses and is one of the most active investors in African agriculture. The additional capital will allow AgDevCo to invest in 8 target countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and expand into Kenya and Ivory Coast. AgDevCo has invested in more than 55 early-stage farming and agro-processing companies and has linked over 425,000 smallholder farmers to strong off-takers in Europe.
