A group of investors have provided seed funding to the Kenyan based Kukua which uses mobile gaming to improve the literacy of children. The mobile platforms such as Sema are made to grab the attention of children and improve learning. Kukua was founded by Alexandre Terrien and Lucrezia Bisignani. The funding was led by the Nigerian based EchoVC and other participating investors known as Firstminute Capital, Burda Principal Investments, Kima Ventures and Founders Factory. The funding will assist Kukua with its plans to expand content production and its reach in various media outlets.
