Dangote Refinery is set to complete Africa’s largest oil refinery by 2021 in Nigeria

The Dangote Refinery which had private investor support and Lenders to the tune of US$12-billion is expected to come on-stream in 2021. The plant will have the capacity to process an estimated 650,000 barrels per day of crude oil, making it Africa’s largest integrated refinery and petrochemicals plant. The project will create 9,500 direct and 25,000 indirect jobs.

Dangote Group is one of Nigeria’s most diversified conglomerates with operational headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria (West Africa). The Dangote Refinery which is a subsidiary of the Dangote Group, embarked on a landmark integrated refinery and petrochemical project which was developed on a 2,635ha site on the Lekki Free Zone near the Lekki Lagoon along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Engineers India is the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor for the project.
