Healthcent attracts R8 million venture capital funding from Allan Gray and Umkhathi Wethu Ventures

Healthcent has received venture capital funding of R8 million from Allan Gray and Umkhathi Wethu Ventures which will be used to expand its health platform in South Africa. Healthcent runs mobile messaging system called Signapps, which facilitates collaboration and rapid response to patient needs by medical providers.

The company was founded in 2017 by Andrew Davies and Michael Gluckman and works with general & specialist practitioners, societies, hospitals, clinics, managed care companies as well as over 2,000 registered users on the Signapps platform. The product and engineering team has extensive experience in developing secure software, building messaging and collaboration platforms which is reflective of this healthcare platform.
