Google Accelerator programme will look to Sub-Saharan Africa from Lagos office

The Google Accelerator programme for Sub-Saharan Africa will be operating from Lagos, Nigeria which is the first location outside the US. African technology startups are expected to be assisted with over $3 million in support through working space and access to expert advisers from Google and Silicon Valley. Startups will have to be technology geared and must be from within Sub-Saharan Africa. The programme is for startup companies that have moved out of the seed funding phase.
