Hlayisani Capital raises R350-million (US$24-million) from limited partner investors

Hlayisani Capital, a private equity firm that is focused on investing in small and medium enterprises (SME), has raised R350-million (US$24-million) from limited partner investors led by Standard Bank and other family offices. Hlayisani Capital is a private equity and venture capital fund manager focused on unlocking unique high growth investment opportunities in South Africa and Africa.

The Hlayisani Growth Fund is a growth equity fund that invests in the ICT, manufacturing, agriculture, education and health industries. Hlayisani Capital has a track record in providing internal rate of returns of 45% and has invested in investments such as Snapplify, GoMetro, Wyzetalk, LEAP, Sudonum, Ikeja and Opennetworks.
