Mergence Investment Managers has acquired a controlling equity stake in Live Easy, which is a property platform for affordable rental housing. The transaction included providing the structure with senior and mezzanine debt. Live Easy is one of the largest affordable housing in South Africa with an estimated 2,500 units in prime locations between Johannesburg and Pretoria. Live Easy was established in 2015 by James Huff and Jeffrey Froom. The stake acquired or the acquisition amount was not disclosed.
