Salpha Energy (Nigeria) raises US$1-million equity funding from All On

Salpha Energy has raised US$1-million in equity funding from the Shell funded impact investment firm known as All On. Salpha is a provider of affordable solar home energy systems through innovative and quality conscious products that are built to last for outdoor camping, entrepreneurial activities, rural settlements or disaster relief. The company has a distributor network of over 350 individuals, cooperatives and traders in Nigeria. Equity funding will be allocated towards increasing inventory, product range and expanding sales channels in Nigeria.

All On provides debt and equity matched to the needs of energy enterprises at a range of sizes. The focus is on enterprises with proven off-grid energy technology solutions and businesses that are ready to scale. The impact investor was funded by Royal Dutch Shell plc and has invested in companies such as Lumos, Cold Hubs, Auxano Solar, Alyx, Creed Energy, Darway Coast, Eastwind, Pirano Energy, Greenage Technologies and ICE Commercial Power among others. All On also works with partners such as the African Development Bank, the Nordic Development Fund, the Global Environment Facility and Calvert Impact Capital.
