Thebe Investment Corporation has acquired a 51% controlling stake in video streaming company Discover Digital, a company that provides digital media services such as video-on-demand and TV content and is based in South Africa and Mauritius. Discover Digital also provides end-to end digital media and fintech technology that provides payment technologies, including mobile money and internet payment gateways. The company was founded by Stephen Watson who is also the managing director.

Thebe Investment Corporation is a fund manager that has R6 billion in assets under management with investments in tourism, mining resources, infrastructure, renewable energy, petrochemicals, telecommunications, financial services and healthcare. The amount invested in Discover Digital was undisclosed.
